Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle, ensuring compliance with all applicable driving regulations and company policies.
- Carry out pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Responsible for the timely and efficient collection and delivery of goods throughout Tamworth and its surrounding areas.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and security during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including obtaining necessary signatures and completing relevant paperwork.
- Provide excellent customer service by displaying professionalism and ensuring positive communication with clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with the logistics team and report any challenges or potential improvements to operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a valid 7.5 Tonne (Category C1) driving license.
- Previous experience working as a 7.5 Tonne Driver is desirable but not essential.
- A professional and customer-focused attitude, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of local road networks and routes around Tamworth.
- Capability to handle and transport goods safely, following proper handling procedures.
- Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A conscientious approach to health and safety guidelines.
