Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Workchain is currently looking for a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our client in Stoke-On-Trent. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering a competitive pay rate of £12 per hour.

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a press brake machine used to bend, form, or shape metal parts. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate and precise bending of metal sheets or components according to specifications. Key duties include reading blueprints, adjusting machine settings, inspecting finished parts for quality, and performing routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating brake press machinery to bend, shape, and form metal
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Performing quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times

Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating brake press machinery (manual or CNC)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
