Workchain is seeking a motivated Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) to join our client in Derby. This role offers the opportunity to transition from a temporary position to a permanent role based on performance and business needs. The position involves operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials within the warehouse and assisting with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Service Engineers with filling and tipping of drums.

• Loading and unloading stock, including cages, drums, and machines (both clean and used items), with heavy lifting involved.

• Managing and organizing branch stock.

• Processing item arrivals and goods receipts, ensuring accurate stock records and timely returns to the Distribution Centre.

• Maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of all work areas.

• Occasionally servicing and repairing machines (training provided), including on-site visits to customer locations.

Qualifications:

• Ideally, a valid full UK Driving Licence.

• Forklift/Counterbalance Licence (required).

• Physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when necessary.
