Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver based in the Longton area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operating a Class 1 vehicle, completing deliveries and collections within the designated area. Delivering milk in tankers from farms to various clients. 
- Ensuring that all deliveries and collections are completed on time, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are loaded safely and processed correctly in a timely manner,
- Secure loads using the appropriate safety protocols,
- Undertake daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly,
- Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines, protocols and legislation at all times,
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications Required:

- Valid UK Class 1 HGV licence.
- CPC card.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Multi-drop experience, knowledge of local roads, and excellent geographical knowledge within the area.

The Role:

This position is ongoing with a view to a permanent contract, with a salary of £15.00-17.00 per hour. The position is within the driving industry with the main responsibility being driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday with start times ranging between 04:00 - 07:00. The job involves delivery and collection of goods, loading and unloading, securing and checking loads in addition to daily vehicle checks.
