As a leading UK-based recruitment agency, Workchain is delighted to be partnering with our client, a reputable company in the Driving industry, to advertise an exciting job opportunity for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver in Sheffield. This is a permanent role with excellent compensation and growth potential.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, ensuring compliance with all relevant traffic regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly
- Collect and deliver goods in a timely and professional manner, maintaining clear communication with the client and the office team
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, including delivery notes, time sheets, and any required documentation
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
- Represent our client in a professional manner, maintaining excellent customer service skills and acting as a brand ambassador

Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with no more than 6 points
- Driver CPC qualification (DQC card)
- Minimum of 6 months recent driving experience as an HGV Class 1 driver

Additional requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills with a dedication to meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle goods as required
- Flexibility with working hours, as occasional weekend and night work may be required

Pay rate: £15.00 per hour
