HGV Class 1 Driver required - Days

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Pay Rate: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour

We're currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Stoke-on-Trent, ST6. Our client is a well known distribution company in the area and they're coming up to one of their busiest periods in the year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods in and around Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Responsible for the proper and timely delivery of goods to assigned locations, following delivery schedules.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation and paperwork related to deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to ensure smooth logistics and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance, representing both Workchain and our clients in a positive manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, remaining courteous and professional at all times.

Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license, with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- A clean driving record, with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Possess a strong understanding of local and national traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
- Flexible schedule, including the availability for some weekend work.
