Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver - Temporary

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client's team in Swadlincote. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, providing an excellent opportunity for skilled drivers looking for flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly
- Load and unload materials or products, ensuring proper securing and handling techniques are implemented
- Plan and organize delivery schedules, ensuring timely collections and deliveries to designated destinations
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the transport team and customers, providing updates on journey progress and resolving any queries or issues that may arise
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, time sheets, and vehicle checklists
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all applicable road traffic laws and regulations
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment

Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E)
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with a strong track record of safe and efficient driving
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and the ability to efficiently plan routes
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay Rate: £14-£15.50 per hour
