Job Title: HGV Class 1 Shunter (Temporary to Perm) - Birmingham

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Shunters to join our client's team in Birmingham. The shifts for this particular role are 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday you will be required to shunt between 2 to 3 yards in a 5 mile radius of each other. 

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently maneuvering and shunting HGV Class 1 vehicles within a busy warehouse environment
- Safely operating vehicles to transport goods from one location to another within the designated site
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable vehicle and traffic laws, as well as health and safety regulations
- Conducting regular checks and inspections on vehicles to identify any potential maintenance or repair needs
- Adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining good communication with the transport team
- Accurately completing all necessary paperwork and maintaining up-to-date records of goods transported

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 license
- Possess a valid CPC card
- Demonstrable experience as an HGV Class 1 Shunter, ideally within a similar warehouse or transport setting
- Strong understanding of current health and safety guidelines and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team
- Responsible and reliable with exceptional attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and overnights, as required
