Yard Operative

Position Overview

We are seeking a Yard Operative for a temp-to-perm contract with a reputable client in Burton-on-Trent. This well-established company, known throughout the Midlands, specializes in timber products and pallet logistics and has been operating successfully in the area for many years.

Responsibilities

• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun

• Assemble wooden pallets using a nail gun

• Use hand tools to assemble components

• Meet specified targets

• Work primarily outdoors due to the nature of the job

• Perform various warehouse and yard tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Patience and adaptability

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Safety boots and a hi-vis vest

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7 am to 5 pm

• Friday: 7 am to 3:30 pm
