How long have you worked in the recruitment industry?
I've been working in the recruitment industry for just over 8 years after I made the switch from working in an estate agent.
When did you first consider starting your own recruitment agency?
It's something I've been thinking about for the past year, and I've been waiting for the right time or opportunity to do it.
What were the obstacles to starting out on your own?
I've got a young family at home, and I didn't want to take a big career risk and take on too much pressure that could not only have financial implications but also impact on spending time with my family.
How have you found the setup process, and making the switch to Libra?

How have you found the support with Libra?

What differences has our software made to how you work?
The system is really clever and made such a different to the way I work. It significantly reduces the amount of admin and processing I need to do manually. I particularly love the worker matching tools, it means I'm filling bookings pretty much instantly.
What would you say about your earnings on Libra?
It's really satisfying knowing your hard work directly correlates to your increased income. On an average month I can match my previous salary whilst working around half the hours.
What's your favourite thing about being self-employed with Libra?
My favourite thing is just how straightforward everything is. I was slightly apprehensive to becoming self-employed due to all the extra work and stress it might bring. But I've actually found I have less stress with Libra than I did with my previous job, and all the tedious admin jobs have totally gone from my workload too.
Has being a Libra Partner made any differences to your lifestyle?
It's freed up so much more of my time. Working from home has enabled me to spend more quality time with my family. I never realised how much of my day was lost just by commuting to and from work.
Any tips or advice for somebody who is considering starting up on Libra?
I would encourage anyone to give it a try. It's free to get started and it's so simple to get set up. And if like me you're cautious about becoming self-employed, the support that's offered through Libra makes it much easier to make the transition as you're not having to go it alone.
